J&S Entertainment was on hand to provide DJ services for Carla and Dave’s beautiful wedding at Harkness Park. J&S provides the ceremony sound system in the garden including live sound support for a guitarist. Later we Dj’d the intimate wedding reception for 50 guests. Everyone danced all night long. On May 25th, The Madison Beach Hotel contracted us to provide the concert sound and uplighting for their “The Wharf Presents” “Unplugged” series. This month featured the legendary Peter Calo! Saturday night J&S Entertainment was on the job to DJ a backyard party to help celebrate. On hand was an incredible sound system, dancef floor lighting and uplights for the tent. For the annual Essex Yacht Club’s Founder’s Day formal dinner dance, J&S Entertainment was contracted to light the huge Sperry tent. The tent was 105′ x 45′. We brought in 20 battery powered uplights and three “Starry Night” star field projectors for the ceiling effects. The effect was quite dramatic.

J&S Entertainment was invited back to provide the music and the microphones for the Madison Bed Race. The race takes place along side of the town green and is always a great family event. It’s scheduled for Saturday, May 6th at 1:00 with a rain date of May 7th. Check the Madison Chamber of Commerce website for scheduling. When Lynn and Chris planned their quaint black tie wedding in Essex CT with 40 friends and family members, we never thought they’d be dancing from beginning to end. But that’s exactly what happened on Saturday night At the Essex Yacht Club. They had chosen a Starry Night lighting Package, 10 uplights and our basic dance floor lighting package. We programmed the uplights to change and strobe with the music once the dancing started and it looked fantastic. Congratulations Lynn and Chris! You hit it out of the park!

The Madison Beach Hotel is running their “The Wharf Presents – Unplugged” series on select Thursday nights. Again, J&S Entertainment was on-hand to provide the live sound and lighting support for Fly Amero from the hit band Orleans. Throughout the show we stayed on the mix and made sure Fly looked and sounded great. He sure didn’t disappoint! Last month we supported Peter Mayer from The Jimmy Buffet Band and we’ll be back at The Wharf on May 25 providing live sound for Peter Calo! Calo has toured with Carly Simon, James Taylor, Hall and Oats and more! Our newest addition to our atmospheric lighting options has just arrived and our CT wedding DJ’s are excited to use it! We’ve just added a “Bliss 50” and the “Bliss Color” to our existing “Bliss 15” kit. Combined, this will create a truly impressive star scene for our clients. When uplighting is included, it will look amazing! Our first CT Wedding with it in use is in a few weeks. Check back for pictures.

On a snowy February afternoon CT wedding DJ, J&S Entertainment were on-hand to DJ Ben and Katy’s wedding ceremony and reception. We used our small ceremony P/A system for the intimate ceremony on the patio to provide music and microphones for the officiant and the groom while our main DJ system was inside the ballroom. This crowd danced all night! We played for nearly an hour more because they wouldn’t leave the dance floor! The bride and groom were very gracious and left us a glowing review on Wedding Wire which you can read here.

We’re proud to announce that we’ve just added 20 additional battery operated, wireless LED Par uplights that are the brightest in the industry. They can be placed anywhere in the room, produce any color and stay light all night long!
We’ve also added a new fixture which we call Starry-night. It creates an amazing blue nebula on the ceiling and projects thousands of stars that gently move throughout the course of the night. Either alone or combined with an uplighting in a complimentary color, it creates a truly stunning effect.
